PageNet said it had noticed abnormal calling patterns during a routine check of its system and monitored the man's calls for nine months. The company then turned over the evidence to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. No paying customers were hurt by the alleged scam, the company said. The man allegedly tapped into a PageNet phone number used for training independent sellers of PageNet services, a company spokesman said. From there, the man hacked into the PageNet system, the spokesman added. [snip] -o- Subscribe: mail majordomoat_private with "subscribe isn".
