Information Security Magazine Launch Security Wire Daily
    08:06 a.m. Oct 13, 1998 Eastern
    NORWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 1998--
    First-Ever Online News Service
    Devoted Exclusively to Infosecurity
Information Security magazine Tuesday launched Security Wire Daily, the
first-ever daily online news service devoted entirely to information
    security topics and issues.
Like Information Security magazine, Security Wire Daily is published by
ICSA Inc., the security assurance company. The news service is available
free to the public at www.infosecuritymag.com/securitywire.
Each weekday, Security Wire will feature several articles focusing on the
news, events and people shaping the infosecurity industry.
Daily editions will also feature market news and analysis, product
announcements and conference updates. Articles will be archived on a
weekly basis within the same categories used by the print magazine's news
section: News on the Cutting Edge, Off the Cuff, Market Monitor and On the
Security Wire will also include a column called CryptoRhythms, featuring
commentary and analysis of the week-that- was in the world of
cryptography. This column will appear every Friday.
"Security Wire gives us the opportunity to offer round-the- clock coverage
of the infosecurity industry," said Andrew Briney, editor-in-chief.
"The monthly format of the printed magazine is ideal for longer features
and op/ed columns. But for hot-off-the- press stories, Security Wire is a
better medium. Together, the two venues provide our subscribers and the
public with the industry's best one-two punch -- in-depth analysis and
    timely reporting."
Individuals and companies involved in information security are encouraged
to submit news tips and announcements to the Security Wire news desk:
    securitywiret_private, or fax 781/255-0215.
Based in Norwood, Information Security is distributed monthly to
approximately 41,000 IT, MIS and information security professionals. The
magazine is published by ICSA Inc. Based in Reston Va., ICSA provides
security assurance services worldwide. For more information on Information
