Applied Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) Registration Extended at Early Registration Prices. We understand that some hopeful attendees are having trouble getting travel approval. Therefore, higher registration fees will not go into effect until 1 December 2001 (instead of 15 November). Some hotel rooms may be available at the Sheraton at the ACSAC block rate (equal to the US Govt. per diem rate), so be sure to mention this conference when you reserve. The 17th ACSAC Advance Program for the 17th Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) on our web site at www.acsac.org. The Conference will be held 12 - 14 December 2001 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Our tutorials will be held on 10 - 11 December 2001 This year's program features 13 tutorials, 42 papers, 4 panels, and a number of case studies. New this year are three "classic papers", a "Birds of a Feather" session on Wednesday evening, and a "Works in Progress" session on Thursday evening. ACSAC is an internationally recognized conference for information system security engineers, practitioners, and researchers to exchange practical ideas about solving critical security problems. Approximately 300 attendees are expected with a mix of 70% industry, 20% government, and 10% academia. Last year about half the papers submitted were from outside the U.S.; we welcome global participation and attendance.
