"Threats faced by the Armed Forces will change from the conventional type of fighting communists to computer hacking and instigation," he told reporters after witnessing the 69th Armed Forces Day parade at the Royal Malaysian Navy base here yesterday. Also present were army chief Jen Tan Sri Md Hashim Hussein, air force chief Jen Datuk Seri Suleiman Mahmud and navy chief Laksamana Datuk Mohd Ramly Abu Bakar. Jen Zahidi said he was confident the Armed Forces would be able to acquire all the expertise and intelligence to tackle such threats, adding that an IT unit had been created for the purpose.
