A Delanco man was charged yesterday with tapping into his former
employer's computer system after being fired and deleting files here and
in Hong Kong, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi said.

Gary Rozecki, 36, was fired May 9 as systems administrator at Franklin
Electronics in Burlington Township, officials said. That evening at home,
he allegedly used a password to gain access to the server that maintains
communication between the company's New Jersey and Hong Kong offices.

The next day, employees could not use e-mail or access files, Bernardi
said. The computer link between the two offices had been taken down.

Rozecki faces five to 10 years in prison if convicted of accessing a
database and altering, damaging or destroying a database. He was taken to
Burlington County Jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.
