PEQUANNOCK -- Police got a three-for-one bust at an Oakwood Avenue home
after a stolen laptop traced to the address also netted two separate
arrests on drug possession charges.

Police said a laptop computer reported stolen from Lehigh University
last month led to the arrest of a Pequannock man on Tuesday night after
authorities tracked the computer to a Pequannock home -- and discovered
the use of drugs at the location.

Pequannock police were first contacted by the university's campus police
after the computer -- a Dell XPS laptop valued at $1,000 -- was reported
stolen Nov. 22 by a student at the Bethlehem, Pa., university.

Using the computer's anti-theft tracking system, Lehigh authorities were
able to locate and identify the Internet service provider's address and
traced it to an Oakwood Avenue home.

The campus police said the tracking software also was able to discover
typed data, which revealed evidence of possible drug sales and activity
at the home.
