Police said a laptop computer reported stolen from Lehigh University last month led to the arrest of a Pequannock man on Tuesday night after authorities tracked the computer to a Pequannock home -- and discovered the use of drugs at the location. Pequannock police were first contacted by the university's campus police after the computer -- a Dell XPS laptop valued at $1,000 -- was reported stolen Nov. 22 by a student at the Bethlehem, Pa., university. Using the computer's anti-theft tracking system, Lehigh authorities were able to locate and identify the Internet service provider's address and traced it to an Oakwood Avenue home. The campus police said the tracking software also was able to discover typed data, which revealed evidence of possible drug sales and activity at the home.
