The city of Tracy needs to beef up its computer security, according to a 
San Joaquin County civil grand jury report unveiled this week.

City employees have too much access to Web-based e-mail accounts and the 
city’s Internet server, the report says.

The city also lacks a written security policy, though it does enforce a 
strong password policy that requires users to regularly change log-in 
codes, according to the report.

The city has 90 days to respond to the grand jury.
