CLIFTON PARK - A 16-year-old sophomore at Shenendehowa High School who
hacked into the school’s computer system last fall has been arrested for
doing the same thing again.

Matthew Beighey, 16, of Clifton Park has been charged with unauthorized
use of a computer and third degree identity theft following an
investigation by the State Police Computer Crime Unit.

Police said Beighey was caught using another student’s identification to
log on to a school computer after he had been barred from accessing
school computers and thereafter he was in the process of locking out
staff members from receiving messages.

Beighey was issued an appearance ticket for June 17 in Clifton Park Town
Court.

Last fall when he was 15, Beighey was caught hacking into the school’s
computer system and accessing data about bus driver. That time his name
was not released and he answered charges of computer trespass, second
degree unlawful possession of personal identification information and
felony identity theft in Saratoga Family Court.
