A Business continuity plan should be drawn up by all government agencies
to ensure that their duties are carried out in the possibility that
their officers and staff are infected with the Influenza A (H1N1) His
Royal Highness Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and
Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office said in his closing sabda
following the National Disaster Council Meeting yesterday.

At the Fire and Rescue Department headquarters, His Royal Highness said
that all government agencies need to be prepared to face this situation
which could threaten the scope of their work, especially with the
possibility that officers and staff can be infected with this outbreak.

His Royal Highness also stressed the importance of assessing the
effectiveness of communication between agencies and the public,
particularly in relaying the necessary preventative steps which should
be taken to reduce the spread of H1N1.

Steps such as self-quarantine for those infected and their close
contacts as well as practising a sense of responsibility and
unselfishness were among the efforts which should be taken seriously to
prevent the spread of infection to a more critical state, His Royal
Highness said.
