The University of Florida announced a security breach Monday involving
information from the Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education
Program.

Last month, the university discovered an unprotected computer file that
contained 34 names and 25 Social Security numbers. The information is
believed to have come from trainers who worked with the traffic and
bicycle safety program in 2006.

The university could not verify contact information for the trainers, so
no one on the list was contacted. Concerned individuals can visit the UF
Privacy Office Web site for more information or call 1-877-657-9133.
