A security breach exposed as many as 40,000 credit or debit cards used
in arcades at the Wilderness Waterpark Resort near Wisconsin Dells and a
companion resort in Tennessee, and a handful appear to have been
affected, an arcade supplier said Monday.

The card processing system of Vacationland Vendors Inc., a Wisconsin
Dells firm that supplies arcade games and installs vending machines, was
breached on March 22, and possibly before that, a spokesman said.

The attack by hackers exposed information on cards used in the arcades
in the Wilderness resorts in Lake Delton and in Sevierville, Tenn., east
of Knoxville. Other transactions at the resorts, including reservations
and purchases at restaurants and shops, were not involved.

While 40,000 cards were exposed, Vacationland Vendors has received
reports of irregular activity on less than 20 of the accounts, the
spokesman said.
