He is a gardener. But he caused an embarrassing incident on Monday when he pushed his bicycle near a podium where President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and guests were seated, carrying a large plastic bag on his bike. Presidential security personnel swooped down on Minta. The bag was later found to contain his sickle, grass and some coconuts. Everyone, seemingly including the president’s security team, had been riveted by an air acrobatics show, part of the Asean Fair in the Nusa Dua resort area, when Minta appeared five meters from the podium. He had previously also stopped in the tightly guarded area to watch the show. As the gardener neared the podium, presidential security guards jumped on him. The Bali military and police chiefs immediately came down from the podium and rushed toward the commotion.
