Participants in the program will benefit from the opportunity to tackle some of the most difficult problems in the national security domain, gain valuable work experience, receive a TOP SECRET SCI security clearance and develop a network of colleagues and mentors in the Intelligence Community. The Research Directorate will benefit from the presence and efforts of bright, highly motivated, recent graduates who bring new ideas, techniques and approaches to problems facing the nation. In today's environment, there is no shortage of challenges for Post-Graduate and Postdoctoral Program participants to tackle. The following list reflects just a sampling of potential research focus areas/projects for participants: ' Preserving and advancing the science and integrity of nation state cyber defense ' High Performance Computing Enabling Technology Development o Advancing research in the area of optical interconnects/silicon photonic interconnects for high-end computing applications ' Biometrics and Identification Science Processing Techniques ' Quantum Computing ' Secure mobility ' Virtualization assurance ' vulnerabilities and countermeasures for virtualized environments, clouds, etc. ' Security analytic clouds ' Fusion of very large disparate datasets ' Predictive analytics based on connecting dissimilar islands of information (e.g. network, host, peripheral, perimeter) Qualifications To qualify for the Research Directorate Post-Graduate and Postdoctoral Program (RDPGPD) candidates must have completed (within the last three years) a Masters or PhD in mathematics, computer science, electrical or computer engineering, physics or related field. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule This is a Term Appointment for 24 months with an option to extend for an additional year based on the needs of the Research Directorate. It is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
