[ISN] India says hackers from China entered navy˘s computers

India's naval computer systems in and around Visakhapatnam, the 
headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command, have been reportedly broken 
into by hackers who are alleged to be from China, The India Express 
reported Sunday.

The Eastern Naval Command plans operations and deployments in the South 
China Sea and beyond. The extent of the intrusion is not yet known, and 
Indian officials said it was not the right time to comment on the 
sensitivity of the compromised data.

The naval computers were found to be infected with a virus that secretly 
collected and transmitted confidential files and documents to Chinese IP 
addresses.
