I also use Sonicwalls at multiple sites. In sites that tend to have high internet traffic they seem to fail frequently (at one site I have replaced three in the past year). In sites that have lower traffic they seem to do okay. If you have a VPN in place and one of the sides has a brief problem with their internet connection, you will most likely have to reboot the Sonicwall because it is not able to re-negotiate the tunnel (but the internet still works). If you configure the rules properly the firewall works great.
