Position Summary
The individual in this position will provide technical leadership in the
research, design and integration of security solutions that apply across
Stancorp's highly heterogeneous systems and business environment. They
will provide consulting in the design and development of reliable,
secure computing practices that conform to best practices, legislation
or regulations that exist in the Financial Services/Insurance
industries.
Qualifications
A requirement for this position is demonstrated experience in
research and installation of tools for Intrusion Detection on servers
and routers exposed to the Internet. A highly desirable skill set is
experience in Windows Technology; i.e., Advanced Microsoft Server, and
Microsoft. Internet Technology and MCSE. The successful candidate will
exercise the tools and analyze log files for all computing and routing
platforms with special emphasis on trends that may indicate an attempted
computer break in or denial of service attack. The person in this
position must also be able to demonstrate experience in research and
installation of tools for Vulnerability Assessments on our network and
servers, run Vulnerability Assessments against new and current
technologies to ensure best security practices and help setup external
vulnerability assessments and analyze their results.
We are seeking candidates with eight years or more progressively
responsible work experience, including hands-on experience in analysis,
design and implementation of networked computer systems compatible with
the our I.T. environment, or the equivalent combination of education
and/or relevant experience. We are also requiring professional
certification completed or in progress of: GIAC (Global Information
Assurance Certification).
