As many of you are already aware, a second Open Source bill has been introduced in the Oregon legislature. Others get the credit for getting this one put in; I've been busy with other, less-worthwhile pursuits. Anyway, the new bill is identical to what my bill would have looked like, after amendments (which was killed before the amendments were considered). It gets a hearing day after tomorrow. We're going to try not to make the same mistakes we made with the first bill. We don't expect anything new from the opposition. Those of you on the other side of the country can listen to the hearing (RealPlayer format) through a link on the Oregon legislature's web site. Please use a search engine to find it; I'm dealing with an unrelated small emergency here.
