Folks, Toby Kohlenberg, Intel, will be speaking on "How (and why) to build a Security Operations Center." With our current elevated threat level, this is a particularly important talk to attend. Topic: Over the course of 2002 and 2003, Mr. Kohlenberg was responsible for the development and training of a Security Operations Center. This talk provides a summary of the lessons learned over the course of that work. Mr. Kohlenberg is a Senior Information Security Technologist for Intel Corporation. He has experience in penetration testing, incident response, architecture design and review, IDS, and various other things that paranoid geeks are likely to spend time dealing with. In the last couple years he has been responsible for developing security architectures for world-wide deployments of secure WLANs, Windows 2000/Active Directory, and IDS technologies. He currently holds the CISSP, GCFW, GCIH and GCIA certifications. Getting to the Oregon Zoo Conference Center: The Zoo is accessible via Light Rail, Car, and bus. The Conference rooms are located before the ticket-taking entrance, on the right, below the restaurant. Special thanks to Structured Inc. for hosting the meeting location! See you there! Geo
