TOPIC SYNOPSIS

"Mobility in the Wireless World - Episode 3G" -- Today's wireless solutions are a powerful force, offering  unprecedented flexibility, freedom, and instant global communications that enhance our personal and professional lives... but, as always, there is a "dark side" that must be dealt with.  Topics of discussion will include:
- Mobile Security "Do's" and "Don'ts";
- Established and emerging wireless standards (802.11"?", WiMax, 3G Cellular, etc);
- Wireless Convergence (SIP, VoIP, VoWLAN, UMA, LBS, etc.), and;
- Mobile Devices (Symbian, PPC and WinMobile, Hybrid / Multimedia devices - including Linux) 

Q & A to follow, and there will also be some show-and-tell time with the Nokia 9300 and Nokia 9500 Communicator.  Lastly, there will be a drawing for CMP Books' just-released 4th Edition of "Video Communications - The Whole Picture" written by Portland's own James R. Wilcox and David K. Gibson.

David Gibson, CISSP applies more than a decade of experience in fields of Telecommunications, Data Networking and Information Security to the Topic of Enterprise Mobility.  A frequent conference speaker on the topics of Mobility and Security, he is a long-standing member of the ISC2 and ISSA organizations and co-author of the just-released book "Video Communications - The Whole Picture", by CMP Books.  Since 1999, David has been employed with Nokia Enterprise Solutions, currently serving as Senior Consultant, Emerging Technologies and Mobility Solutions.
