Just five months ago, IDC introduced a new market segment called Unified
Threat Management (UTM). IDC, the preeminent authority on IT market
tracking and forecasting has clearly identified an ongoing trend toward
consolidated security appliances.

"Threat management security appliances are defined as a combination of
hardware, software, and networking technologies whose primary function
is to perform specific and or multiple security functions." (IDC 2004)
Such security functions may include: Firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, SSL
Termination, Web Firewall, Spyware/IM/P2P Controls, Anti-Virus,
Anti-Spam, and Content Filtering.

IDC projects the UTM appliance market to grow at over 80% CAGR
(compounded annual growth rate) due to increased efficiencies in cost
reduction and management.

Brian McLean of Secure Computing will discuss this new UTM trend and
what it means in regards to the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) when
compared to the traditional approach of deploying point products for
each security function.

There is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided for each
participant.

Seating is limited, so please register early.

Visit: http://www.anitian.com/events/utm_register.htm to register for
the event. Must be registered to attend.
