"The Big One & Large Scale Disaster Preparedness"

When: December 15, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Bonneville Power Administration - GSA Auditorium

(Meeting is open to the public - Cost is $10 per person)  

This Quarterly meeting will discuss your expectations on response and preparedness to the unique threats from the powerful 9.0 subduction zone earthquake facing the Pacific Northwest. This quake is expected to last up to 12 minutes, potentially devastating much of the Pacific Northwest. We will cover the expected outcome of the Earthquake, Federal/State/Local disaster preparedness, and the disaster. Invited to speak at the meeting are representatives from University of Washington, FEMA, ODOT, Cascadia Regional Earthquake Workgroup, Department of Oregon Geology & Mineral Industries, Oregon Emergency Management, and Washington County Emergency Services.

Special Note on Membership

On January 1, 2006, the Oregon InfraGard Chapter will begin a $50.00 per year membership fee. This fee will cover the cost of bringing quality speakers and training to the membership as well as assist in our community outreach programs.

Z Parking Availability:

There is a parking garage directly across from the BPA building. In addition, there is limited street side parking available in the area. You can also arrive by Tri-met's MAX (either Red or Blue line). The Lloyd Center Station is just a short walk from the BPA Building.
