There is a group of similar products available which do far more: you may 'freeze' the state of hard drives for a pc. the device writes all changes which occur after the freeze in a special, not directly visible partition on the hdd. additionally you can prohibit changes to bios, partition table ... when you restart your pc, this partition is lost and all is back in its primary state. we use this system for securing standalone NTworkstations which are used as info-terminals for anonymous internet access. There are at least 3 product which handle this. the one we test at the moment is http://www.daten-airbag.de/textvers/index.html regards, Jochen Kaiser -- Jochen Kaiser kind@IRCNET, phone +49 9131 85-28134 Network Administration mailto:jochen.kaiserat_private-erlangen.de Regionales Rechenzentrum Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany GPG public key: http://www.uni-erlangen.de/~unrza2/public_key.txt
