I'm please to announce a new "Cybercrime Specialist" training program being offered through the Maryland Cybercrime Center of Excellence (MCCE), a newly-formed partnership between the Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold, MD, and The Windermere Group, Annapolis, MD. This program provides training in computer and network forensics, legal, information assurance, and technical surveillance/countermeasures (TSCM). All courses in the Cybercrime Specialist Program are practical and participants can immediately apply knowledge and skills in the workplace. MCCE has designed and built a high-tech training facility specifically for cybercrime training that includes a computer forensics lab, an information assurance lab, and a mock courtroom. All classes include extensive hands-on training. Class sizes are limited to provide a one-to-one ratio of computer to student and individualized assistance from the instructor. Upon successful completion of each course, participants will receive Continuing Education Units (CEU's). Those students who successfully complete the entire six-course Cybercrime Specialist program will also receive a Letter of Recognition from Anne Arundel Community College. Currently available courses include: Introduction to Cybercrime (CYB 501) Principles of Information Security and Protection (CYB 502) Legal Side of Cybercrime (CYB 503) Basic Forensics Examination (CYB 504) Data Hiding and Steganography (CYB 505) Technical Surveillance and Counter Measures (CYB 506) For more information, please visit http://www.mdcybercrime.org or e-mail <mailto:infoat_private>. Thank you, Michael Panczenko Director, E-Crime The Windermere Group
