    Hi Peter,

One last note about CD burners. I can not believe I forgot but if you are
thinking of buying a laptop just for this you might want to consider an
apple. I am not a total apple advocate or anything like that at my present
job I work with apples alot and they work for what we do (multimedia) but
they do burn stuff well and as Joliet and from an ISO image so it might be
    what you need.

This would make the smallest burner possible as it is in built into the laptop.

     From the apple site
    http://www.apple.com/ibook/

You can choose an iBook with a CD-ROM drive, a
DVD-ROM drive for watching DVD movies, a CD-RW
drive to create your own music CDs or a Combo
drive which combines the capabilities of CD-RW and
DVD playback. The iBook with CD-ROM drive ships
with 64MB of SDRAM, and the iBook with DVD-ROM,
CD-RW and Combo drives ships with 128MB. All
models are expandable, so you can add up to 512MB of RAM.
