As some of you might know, NSA is working on
    security enhancements to Linux
    (http://www.nsa.gov/selinux/index.html). Other parts
of the US Government are also interested in
developing additional security features of open
source software. DARPA recently began a project to
enhance security in open source operating systems
    (http://www.darpa.mil/ito/research/chats/index.html).
One of the tasks of the DARPA project is to improve
    the auditing capabilities of Linux
    (http://secureaudit.sourceforge.net/) to support
Orange Book (now Common Criteria) and forensics
    requirements.
