LSM sample example for n/w stack

hello,

i want just one example to know how to write LSM
module
 for network stack(by using socket functions). I have
read a lot of theory but the whole picture is not
clear. 

I also want to know if i want to write a lsm module
,is 
SELinux support necessary?
