    	It's a little disheartening the number of folks who assumed
    that I hadn't thought to check for things like this.  So, just for the
    record, there isn't a default.ida on the box in question, there aren't
    any custom Apache error handlers that might be causing this behaviour,
    and there isn't a mapping for .ida to any other handler that might be
    causing this behaviour.  (Among other things, none of those explanations
    would account for the fact that the return code was sometimes a 200 and
    sometimes a 404.)
    	Also, for the folks who are emailing me their info on
    seeing this, could you also include what version of Apache you are
    running?
