Thanks to all who responded on and off-list to my query regarding Syslog Appliance experience. I received numerous responses and now have a bunch of product suggestions to sift through. Also very many product comments on products - both good and bad experience. As several pointed out, it's 'easy' to set up a pc with *nix/BSD box configured w/ syslog et al. But that is exactly what I don't want to do...
