Sujit,
One possibility is you need to modify "/etc/sysconfig/syslog", adding the
"-r" argument to the "SYSLOG_OPTIONS" variable. If you have not done that,
remember to restart the syslog daemon ("service syslog restart").
Another possibility is that the iptables "DROP" the packets after
"LOG"-ging, but with no iptables info it is difficult to say.
