s/OWL/Owl/ and s/2.2.19-owl3/2.2.19-ow3/ please. ;-)

The kernel patch is normally optional on Owl, except when explicitly
announced to contain critical security fixes (like now, until 2.2.20
is released).

I seriously doubt this is related to the kernel patch. The changes
between 2.2.19-ow1 and -ow3 are minimal and certainly not in the areas
which are related to such behavior.

You may want to check your hardware, your power sources, and look for
possible radio interference. Somehow keyboards and keyboard controllers
appear to be sensitive to that. I once had a {doorbell, motherboard,
keyboard} combination where the doorbell (maybe 5 meters away) would
reset or hang the keyboard.
