This is intentional. We have not yet modified the DHCP client to avoid processing data obtained from the network as root. Only the DHCP server and relay have been modified for that. If you want to take the risk anyway, you can edit the following line in native/Owl/packages/dhcp/dhcp.spec: %define BUILD_DHCP_CLIENT 0 set it to 1, then build the package with "make PACKAGE=dhcp".
