    Internet Security Systems has an unsupported tool called wmsg that gives you
    all manner of info about events. A plus is that since it pulls the info from
    the local machine itself, you can get info on app-specific events in the
    Application log.
    
    And it comes with source code (don't expect this from our other apps ;^/)
