watchguard firewall

Earlier this week I headed into a problem while trying to gain local root
privilages on a WatchGuard Firewall, but to no avail I could not 
gain access via the console.

Has anyone successfully obtained a single user mode status on a watchgaurd
firewall box?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
