    Everyone,

I'll start with the obligatory sorry if you are receiving this more than
once. Its the downside of posting to more than one user group. My post,
that sent out feelers with regards to adding a 4 line ad appended to each
outgoing post, received overwhelming response and I would like to thank
all of you who took the time to reply to me. The vast majority of the
replies (about 99%) were in favour of the ads if it meant helping make our
community here more self-sufficient. Therefore I will start to hunt down
advertisers for the lists and set to work implementing this.

Lastly, and for those of you who use the SecurityFocus website, you will
note several significant changes in the near future. Today you will notice
that the old portal is now back in place of the commercial page, which
split the portal and product offerings. So now you have direct access to
the information as you did in early 2001 and before. Also, today you will
notice that the Exploits tab is back on the Vulnerability Database and its
content should be more or less up to date. After 2 years away from the
responsibilities of the website and its lists, I have found it back on my
plate and very excited about it. I believed in the value of this community
when our site started (in my living room) and I believe its still as
    relevant today. Thanks for participating.

    Cheers,
    -al
