    Hey Folks,

Just wanted to send out a note to let you all know that SecurityFocus is
planning on rolling out a Pen-Test focus area at the beginning of June. I
will be managing the new focus area, so I am sending out this e-mail today
to gauge whether any of you would be interested in putting Infocus
articles together for the Pen-Test focus area.

The Infocus articles focus on technical aspects of conducting pen-tests.
    They
are generally approximately 2000 words in length. If the topic requires
it it can be covered in a series of 2000-word articles. SecurityFocus
pays a $500 fee for each 2000-word article or each 2000-word installment
    in a multi-part series.

We are still in the planning stages and have not got to the point of
identifying specific topics, so if you have anything that you would
particularly like to cover, please feel free to let me know. If you would
like to write articles for the Pen-Test area, but have no topics in mind,
please let me know and we will forward you a list of potential topics when
we have put one together. By the same token, if you are not interested in
writing articles for us, but have some article topics you would like the
new focus area to cover, please feel free to forward those ideas to us.

Please respond to this message off-list and to the SecurityFocus Content
Editor, Stephen Entwisle (seat_private), who I have CCed on this
message, and who will be developing the articles in conjunction with me.
