The attached plugin should be commited in CVS soon. It's a port of
xprobe to the NASL language. The benefits are that it's non-intrusive
(i have not heard of any host crashing due to xprobe's OS detection) 
and it will be easy to update (through nessus-update-plugins)).

ps: this plugin can not run in standalone mode, run it from within
nessusd.
