    Fwd, from Microsoft:

    ---

    Attorneys representing Microsoft and the non-settling states participated
    in a teleconference call with Judge Kotelly this afternoon to discuss
    scheduling matters. The following is a tentative schedule of events moving
    forward in the remedy proceedings. Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions will
    focus on various motions pending before the Court. Each side will have a
    total of 45 minutes for its initial presentations each day, to be divided
    among the various motions as it wishes. Friday's session will focus on the
    enforcement issue.

    Wednesday, May 15
    Court will be in session at 2:00pm with three motions on
    the afternoon schedule. 1) Motions on Scope concerning other markets, other
    products and events that took place prior to the conclusion of the liability
    trial;

    2) Effect on Jackson's Findings and Conclusions:
    briefing the Judge had requested related to what effect in this case Judge
    Jackson's findings and conclusions should have;

    3) Motion for Partial Judgment at a Matter of Law
    rejecting the non-settling states' proposed "Unbinding" Remedy;

    Thursday, May 16
    Court session will begin at 1:30pm and there will be two motions that will
    be argued.

    1) Motion to Dismiss: Filed originally in February by
    Microsoft, motion challenging the States' standing on this case arguing
    the need for uniform enforcement and administration of antitrust law under one
    authority -- the Department of Justice and the states proposal, if
    entered, could create conflicting national competition policies;

    2) Motion for Judgment as a Matter of Law: Microsoft's
    motion that the States' failed to establish the requisite causal link
    between anticompetitive acts and Microsoft's market position and failed
    to establish any injury to their cognizable interests;

    Friday, May 17
    The Court session will begin at 2:00pm and each side will present arguments
    related to enforcement proposals with a focus on the
    special master proposal offered by the non-settling states. There will be
    30 minutes allotted for each side.

    Closing Arguments
    The Court has also scheduled Wednesday, June 19 for closing arguments.
