--- Date: Tue, 04 Jun 2002 10:15:44 -0400 From: "Paul Levy" <PLEVYat_private> To: <declanat_private> Subject: At the risk of reopening the spam campaign debate I wonder what people think about this article, which raises both the question of Uri Nissan's right to run a business under his own name AND the email campaign in which he is encouraging supporters to write to journalists to urge them to cover the story, using an automated form on Uri Nissan's web site. The emails are harvested from media sites which, presumably, list the addresses as a way to contact the journalists. Do our anti-spam crown consider this as objectionable? Or, is the listing of the email address on the media site an implicit invitation to send such messages? Paul Alan Levy Public Citizen Litigation Group 1600 - 20th Street, N.W.
