Yesterday I sent a note to Politech
(http://www.politechbot.com/p-04501.html) reporting what the "buzz" was
about the level of Valenti's honorarium. But it turns out the the buzz was
wrong, and the MPAA's response to Politech is below.

    >For the record, the Frey Lecture at Duke provides a $5,000 honorarium to
    >participating speakers. Mr. Valenti gives many, many speeches over the
    >course of a year and, whenever an honorarium is presented, he contributes
    >that sum to a Washington-based charity called Woodley House. Woodley
    >House is a nationally recognized model program based on a unique recovery
    >approach. On a daily basis, Woodley House provides a continuum of consumer
    >centered care for over 200 persons with mental disabilities. Woodley House
    >programs provide varying degrees of support that allow individuals to move
    >towards self-sufficiency within appropriately supportive environments that
    >meet individual recovery needs.
    >
    >While I doubt that you will share this information concerning the good
    >works of Woodley House with your readers, I would hope that, as a
    >journalist, you would set the record straight on the amount and direct
    >beneficiary of the honorarium.
