    Here is an article from the New York Times today on another example of
    the unintended consequences of the Patriot Act -- consequences that
    really have nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with the
    continuing erosion of personal liberty and the adoption of suboptimal
    commercial practices designed to minimize everyone's exposure to the
    long tendrils of this law. Let's hope other companies are as
    conscientious as the businesspeople profiled in the article.
