DENVER, Nov 3 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Trade Commission
has not shown there is a real need for a "do-not-call" registry
that allows consumers to stop telephone solicitations, a
telemarketer said in a court filing on Monday.

Mainstream Marketing Services Inc, a telemarketing group,
also said the registry is unfair because telemarketers must pay
for access to the registry. A substantial portion of the money
raised will be used for general Federal Trade Commission agency
functions and a technical system to address "fraud-related"
    complaints.
