    Hey Declan,

It turns out the company that supplied the Victorian speed cameras that
were returning false readings was Poltech International
(http://www.poltech.com.au). Poltech has systems installed in Australia,
Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Africa, Brazil, The Netherlands, Britain (the
first digital device approved by the Home Office), and the US.

    In several related developments today:

    * Victoria Police has suspended issuing speeding fines until all the
state's 47 fixed speed cameras have been checked for accuracy
    (http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/11/13/1068674295970.html). This is
in response to the revelation yesterday that a third camera has provided a
    false reading
    (http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/11/12/1068329631374.html).

    * Poltech today appointed voluntary administrators.

Again, posting from work, so removing my email address would be appreciated.

    - Barry
