    This one's a little more along PoliTech's usual lines.  In a
    California district, schoolchildren are poised to be
    fingerprinted whenever they get on or off the schoolbus.
    
    Apparantly this is supposed to help the school keep track of the
    kids, or more cynically, supposed to help the school say to the
    worried parents "Hey, your kid got off the bus at his stop just
    like he was supposed to!  It's not OUR problem he didn't come
    home!"
    
    The way I see it, though, the school that's doing this will be
    teaching kids a lesson: that they have no rights and that
    everyone is routinely treated as a criminal.
