See: http://events.uschamber.com/conference/brochure/index.cfm?ConferenceID=41 Never mind that government officials from the Department of Homeland Security are speaking today about matters of public interest relating to intellectual property. Never mind that the event is free. The folks at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have decreed that it's only for copyright and other IP lobbyists -- and not members of the press, who might (gasp!) report on what government officials are saying or doing. (That would be a shame, wouldn't it?) Far better to ban the media from attending: "**This Event Is NOT Open To The Press.**" -Declan _______________________________________________ Politech mailing list Archived at http://www.politechbot.com/ Moderated by Declan McCullagh (http://www.mccullagh.org/)
