[Politech] SpamArrest wants critical posts removed from Politech archives [fs]

From: Declan McCullagh (declan@private)

Read the below three-message string from bottom to top. Google ranks
two Politech posts about SpamArrest in spots #4 and #5. Note Brian is
not claiming the information is incorrect, just that it's dated and
does not reflect the company's current practices.

Any thoughts?

Declan:

Thanks for the email. The biggest problem for us is that people see
these two postings that are ranked high with google for "SpamArrest" and
"Spam Arrest", and believe them to be our current practice and not a one
time event from Feb 2003.

We have also revised our privacy policy to reflect our actual practices
see below.

For Senders, your information will be used to confirm or re-confirm your
identity as a party authorized to send email to a particular Customer or
Customers, to develop and maintain "scoring" information attributable to
a particular Sender's email address, and to provide the Spam blocking
services described in the Spam Arrest Terms of Services Agreement. *Your
email address will not be used for marketing purposes, sold or shared
with third parties*, unless required by law.

If you feel that it would be helpful to forward my messages to the
Politech subscribers please do so.

Regards,

Brian Cartmell, CEO
