About: Crank is a project to provide a GUI toolkit to facilitate (and where
possible, automate) the breaking of classical (pen-and-paper)
cryptosystems. Initial focus is on the cryptanalysis of monoalphabetic
substitution ciphers.

Changes: The "makefile" has been converted to use autoconf, and a "make
install" target has been added. The GUI now has a toolbar. A new plugin
type for plaintext comparisons has been introduced.
