EtherApe 0.8.2 by jtoledo (http://freshmeat.net/users/jtoledo/) Sunday, August 12th 2001 16:21 Categories: Scientific/Engineering :: Visualization, System :: Networking :: Monitoring About: EtherApe is a GNOME/pcap-based etherman, interman, and "tcpman" clone. It displays network activity graphically. Active hosts are shown as circles of varying size, and traffic among them is shown as lines of varying width. It supports Ethernet, FDDI, Token Ring, ISDN, PPP, and SLIP. Additional statistics windows will let you concentrate on protocols or nodes. Changes: Support for ISDN and cooked sockets in general on Linux has been added. This release should fix node globbing on the screen under heavy loads. Some testing info that was showing up when adding a new color to the color-protocols table has been removed. Dialogs for name selection have been added. The code behind the dialogs is not there yet, so don't expect it to work.
