Guarddog 1.9.4 (Development) by Simon Edwards (http://freshmeat.net/users/sbe/) Sunday, August 12th 2001 15:21 Categories: Security, System :: Networking :: Firewalls About: Guarddog is firewall generation/management utility for KDE 2 on Linux. It allows you to specify which protocols should be allowed to pass through the firewall, and requires no knowledge of port numbers. It generates scripts for ipchains and/or iptables. Changes: This release no longer uses the konsole to run the firewall script (it now has its own window for this). When run, the firewall script says what it is doing, and is much more friendly. Gnutella and NetMeeting support has been added. A small bug that sometimes caused the same modprobe command to output multiple times has been fixed. A bug that was causing the configuration to get scrambled when read in has been fixed.
