UNF Distributed Portscanner 0.2.3 (Development) by United Net Frontier (http://freshmeat.net/users/ridcully/) Saturday, August 18th 2001 09:07 Categories: Security, System :: Networking About: DScan is a portscanner that distributes the scan among dozens of hosts. The scanner consists of two parts. One part is the client, which initiates the scan and calculates the portrange each server has to operate on. The only thing the server does is scan and return the result to the client. Distributing the portscanning operation can make it harder for the target to detect the fact that a scan is being performed. Changes: This release adds a many-to-one or many-to-many portscans connect(), syn, fin, null, ack, and xmas scans, authentication with des, md5, or cleartext passwords to the server, multiple hosts and ipranges support, ipfile support, simple anti-ids techniques (variable id field, random portscan, etc.), and support for Linux and BSD.
