gShield 2.7.1 by Godot (http://freshmeat.net/users/godot/) Thursday, September 27th 2001 00:06 Category: System :: Networking :: Firewalls About: gShield is an iptables firewall for use with the 2.4.x Linux kernel series. It has aggressive defaults, easy configuration through a BSD-style configuration file, support for NAT, variable access control for services, integrated port-forwarding, transparent proxy support, and more. It seeks to make administrating a comprehensive firewall easier. Changes: Service ports are now hard-wired in. There has been an increase in port-range marking for Q3A servers, and miscelleneous minor typo fixes. A patch for better netmask detection has been added. Services cleanup, and several iptables 1.2.3 oddity fixes have also been made.
